We are half way through 2021 (weird to think about) and we here at FF Arms have been busy. I’ll make this update as short as possible without leaving any of the important things out.
As some of you may have noticed our web store has disappeared. Well that’s because we got rid of it. Why? Well a few reasons.
First reason is because when we initially started it up, the company that ran the software and all that internet/computer stuff kept telling us that the system was going to be fully customizable, better lay outs, etc. None of that happened. Other than a few extra templates none of the customizations we were told would happen came to fruition.
Second reason was because the amount of glitches and problems seem to keep growing. We had people complaining/letting us know that products were not in the right categories. For example; if you were looking at optics, you would see desalts leather holsters in the same category. Unfortunately the system would not allow for us to edit the product pages and put them in the correct category. So that sucked.
Third reason is because 9/10 people never used it. Almost everyone would either email or call us to order something. It would almost always go some thing like this.
Random guy: “hey do you have this?”
Us: “Yes, here is a link to where you can order it”
Random Guy: “Can I just call and order it?”
So the web store is gone but we are going to replace it with something that hopefully doesn’t suck as bad as that one did. But those plans have taken a back seat for other things at this time. In the mean time, don’t bother clicking the “Shop” button at the top because it goes to no where and I have not figured out how to get rid of it.
I started FF Arms in Rockland, MA in 2017 and soon after moved to New Hampshire for work. After 4 years of commuting back and forth FF Arms is finally moving to New Hampshire! This move is a process and we are only partly through it. Our goal is to be fully moved in by mid-August.
You may or may not be wanting more details on this but I can’t give too much away so here is some things I can tell those of you reading this.
So while we are in the process of moving we will be harder to reach but it will all be worth it. While in this period of transition we will still be doing our normal operations except for face to face transfers. If you have already arraigned for a transfer then we will be providing that.
I hope you all are as excited as we are, this new location will allows us to better provide all the services we offer and will allow us to possibly do more.
