Consignment Services - Founding Fathers Firearms

We are proud to offer consignment services to those who are looking to sell their firearms, ammunition, parts, and accessories.

Rates:

Firearms: 15% of the total sale price, per firearm.
Ammunition: 15% of the total sale price per unit (units will be configured at time of consignment
Accessories: 15% of the total sale price per item.
Parts: 15% of the total sale price per item.

Additional fees will be applied if the consignee chooses optional additional Gunbroker services.

Consignment of Firearms:

We are happy to consign your unwanted firearms. Any firearms consigned with us will be put on display in our shop and listed on our webstore. You have the right to choose the price, we will assist in determining current market value but at the end of the day it is your choice. After two weeks, your firearm(s) are eligible to be listed on Gunbroker. A form will be filled out prior to listing the firearm(s) that will provide us with the details of how you would like the listing(s) to be configured. Additional service options for each listing have additional fees and are listed on the form. If you chose to cancel the consignment agreement, any unsold firearms will be returned to you. Keep in mind, a 4473 and background check will need to be filled out and submitted prior to you taking possession.

Consignment of Non-Firearms:

We are happy to consign your unwanted ammunition, parts, and accessories. Any ammunition, parts, and accessories consigned with us will be available in store and on our webstore for purchase. You have the right to choose the price, we will assist in determining current market value but at the end of the day it is your choice. Ammunition in poor condition, that was improperly stored, or that was reloaded can not be consigned. After two weeks, your item(s) are eligible to be listed on Gunbroker. A form will be filled out prior to listing the item(s) that will provide us with the details of how you would like the listing(s) to be configured. Additional service options for each listing have additional fees and are listed on the form. If you chose to cancel the consignment agreement, any unsold item(s) will be returned to you.

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about our consignment process below. From how pricing works to what happens if you cancel, our goal is to make consigning your firearms, ammunition, parts, and accessories as clear and straightforward as possible.

What is consignment?

To put it in the simplest terms, consignment is when you contract a “selling agent” and have them sell your stuff for you. In this case, we do all the work, you don’t have to talk to anyone, and we take 15%.

Can I cancel the consignment agreement if I choose to keep the firearm(s) and/or item(s)?

Yes, you can cancel the consignment agreement at anytime with no cancelation fees. Anything that has not been sold will be returned to you. Any firearms will need a 4473 and a background check done before being returned.

Why consign over selling to you guys?

Really depends on your situation. Consignment will almost always lead to a larger payout but will take an unknown amount of time versus a smaller but instant payout. Remember, whatever the shop buys has to be sold at a profit. So, what you want versus what your offered might differ a lot.

I don’t know what it’s worth, can you help me?

Absolutely, we like to check to see what the current market value is on everything even if you already have price in mind. The more information you have, the better.

How do I know you aren’t going to sell it cheap just to move it?

That would be dumb of us to do. Mainly since what we make off it is 100% dependent on what it sells for. The more it sells for, the more money we make, the more money you make.
